School Lunch

In Derbyshire we have put a great deal of time, effort and money into creating healthy menus and promoting the healthy choices to children. We also want to provide parents with all the information they need about school dinners and that is why we have developed our own website called "My School Lunch".

Please click on this link to look - its full of useful information for children and parents!

Derbyshire menus are on a four weekly cycle and include vegetarian options. If your child has any special dietary requirements then please speak to Mrs Collins in the school office. All our menus meet the current Government nutritional standards.

The current meal price for a Primary school child is £2  - excellent value!

Please note that sometimes our cooks have to make menu changes at short notice (for instance if there is a problem with food deliveries) but we aim to keep this to a minimum.

Don't miss out on our theme days - come and join in the fun! They are detailed on the menu below. Please note that the menu does change for other days during a Theme Day week.

IS MY CHILD ELIGIBLE FOR FREE SCHOOL MEALS?

We would encourage you to register for free school meals if you are eligible. You could save £400 a year for each child and your children could benefit from a good hot meal at lunchtime. The school will benefit too − they'll get the pupil premium from the government for each child on free school meals, which is used to support your child in school.  You are eligible for free school meals if you are in receipt of any of the following:

  • Universal Credit, provided they have an annual net earned income not exceeding £7,400 (£616.67 per month)

  • Income Support

  • Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance

  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance

  • Support under Part 6 of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999

  • The guarantee element of Pension Credit

  • Child Tax Credit, provided they are not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190, as assessed by HMRC

  • Working Tax Credit run-on – paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit
