Operation Encompass and Support for Families
Our school is part of Operation Encompass, an information-sharing arrangement between the police and education settings. Where the police have reasonable grounds to believe that a child may be a victim of domestic abuse, the child's education setting can be notified so that appropriate and timely support can be offered. A child does not have to have been physically present during an incident to be affected by domestic abuse.
At Etwall Primary School, Operation Encompass information is reviewed by our safeguarding team so that appropriate support can be made available to the child.
