At Etwall Primary School we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of every child. We maintain an attitude that “it could happen here” and work to ensure that children feel safe, heard and confident to speak to an adult if something is worrying them.
Child Protection and Safeguarding:
Parents should be aware that the school is required to take any reasonable action to ensure the safety of its pupils. In cases where the school has reason to be concerned that a child may be subject to ill-treatment, neglect or other forms of abuse, the Headteacher is obliged to follow the Child Protection procedures established by the Derbyshire Safeguarding Children board and inform Children’s Social Care of the concern.
The school has a Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy which can be found on the policies tab under key information. We use this policy to guide our actions and to ensure that we are keeping children safe by following agreed procedures.
