Our Vision for PE at Etwall Primary School
Our vision for PE is to inspire every child to develop a lifelong love of physical activity and sport. We strive to equip children with the skills, mindset and enjoyment needed to lead active, healthy lives and to succeed in sporting challenges now and in the future. We support our children through our core values of Curious, Ambitious and Caring.

We encourage children to explore a wide range of sports and movement experiences, sparking enthusiasm, discovery and a sense of adventure in physical activity.

We support children to set goals, build resilience and strive for their personal best—developing confidence and determination with every challenge they face.

We create an inclusive environment where every pupil’s voice is valued, effort is celebrated, and teamwork, respect and sportsmanship can flourish.

🏅 Extra-Curricular Sport Opportunities
We offer a broad range of extracurricular sports opportunities throughout the academic year, both during the school day and after school, for all year groups, giving all children the chance to participate, enjoy, and excel beyond the classroom. Our annual Sports Week and Sports Day provide exciting opportunities for children to celebrate physical activity.
🤝 Partnership with RS Coaching
We work in partnership with RS Coaching to deliver high-quality after-school clubs and activities, designed to engage pupils of all abilities and interests. These clubs promote skill development, teamwork and a love of physical activity in a fun and supportive environment.
🏆 Competitive & Inclusive Events
We are proud to be part of the South Derbyshire School Sport Partnership, which enables our pupils to take part in a wide variety of competitive and inclusive sporting events and tournaments.
