🕒 The School Day at Etwall Primary

At Etwall Primary, we aim to provide a calm, welcoming and well-organised school day so that children feel happy, settled and ready to learn.

Below is a guide to help you understand what to expect each day.

⏰ Gates open: 8:40am
⏰ Gates close: 8:50am

Children should arrive between these times so that they can start the day positively with their class.

📌 If your child arrives after 8:50am:

We encourage all children to arrive on time so they can settle quickly and take part in morning routines.

Our school day is carefully planned to provide a balance of:

Children are supported to develop as confident, curious and independent learners, in line with our whole-school vision.

⏰ EYFS lunchtime: 11:45am – 12:45pm

Children can:

✅ All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to Universal Free School Meals

We are a nut-aware school due to severe allergies among some pupils, so we ask families to be mindful of this when preparing packed lunches.

If your child has any allergies or specific dietary needs, please let us know so we can support them fully.

⏰ Year 1–6 finish time: 3:20pm

Each class has its own designated collection point.

To help ensure a smooth and safe collection:

👀 Try to stand in a similar place each day
👋 When your child is approaching, give the teacher a wave so they can spot you quickly

This helps the end of the day run safely and efficiently for everyone.

For families who need additional support, we work closely with Active Bodies, who provide wraparound care on site.

⏰ Opening hours: 7:30am – 5:30pm
