Autumn 1 - Week 8

Week eight of the first half term, what is happening in school this week?

This weeks Starfish value is helpfulness. This is something we encourage at all times at EPS.

All clubs and music lessons are running as normal this week unless you have been advised otherwise by the provider directly. Please note that letters went out on Wednesday if your child would like to sign up for Active Bodies bounce after half term. Places are going quickly and are strictly limited to 12. Copies of the letter can be found under 'letters home' if you would like your child to have a place, please complete and return to the school office asap. Thank you.

On Wednesday to Friday this week EYFS will be running phonics demonstrations from 9 - 9.35am. Parents and carers are welcome to come along to see how phonics are taught in reception and how you can support your child's learning further at home.

On Wednesday year 1/2 are running a maths workshop from 6-7pm. Staff will be on hand to show different methods of calculations and how it is taught at Etwall Primary School.

On Friday it is PTFA recycling day. Please help this great fundraiser by recycling as many old clothes / textiles as possible in the bags sent home with your child last week. If you have filled those bags, then please feel free to fill up black bin bags too! Please bring all your recycling to school on Friday morning (not before please as we are limited for space!) and PTFA staff will be on hand to show you where to put it. As a reward for their amazing recycling efforts, children can dress down for the day on Friday.

On Friday school breaks up for October half term. School reopens to pupils on Monday 4 November. Enjoy your week off and stay safe. Have a great week!
