Key Documents
For each history topic, children use a knowledge organiser to support them in learning the key historical knowledge.  These are below.
There are many opportunities for children to gain cultural capital in history at Etwall Primary School, for example, A year 5/6 trip to Tutbury castle to meet Elizabeth I, A Roman Day in Year 3/4 and in Year 1/2 making their own model of London in DT and then setting fire to it in a history lesson.
The impact of our curriculum can partly be seen in the wonderful photos of our work below.
If you wish to know anymore about the history curriculum, please email enquiries@etwall.derbyshire.sch.uk.
Through the provision of opportunities, we will develop the children's cultural capital.
Some of these experiences will be:
  • Stone Age enrichment day
  • Local walk
  • Maypole Dancing
  • Remembrance Day
  • Visit to Tutbury Castle
  • Roman Day
  • Making Models
