Friday 24th October is an inset day for all children in school. It is also an open morning for children starting Reception in September 2026. Booking not required but you may wish to register your interest by contacting the school office.

For each history topic, children use a knowledge organiser to support them in learning the key historical knowledge.  Here are a selection below: 
There are many opportunities for children to gain cultural capital in history at Etwall Primary School, for example, A trip to Tutbury Castle for the Year 5/6's to meet Queen Elizabeth I to support their 'Off with their head' topic, a Roman Day in Year 3/4 and model making of London in 1666 for Year 1/2.
